First release: 2/21/2002
Second release: 3/3/2002
============================================

The Captain Commando side-scrolling brawler did *not* suck.

======================================================================
System:
Cap is a 6-button character, like most Capcom fighters.

In case you don't know the layout, here's how it works:

    x y z
    a b c

x = Light Punch	  y = Medium Punch   z = Strong Punch
a = Light Kick    b = Medium Kick    c = Strong Kick

COMMANDS:

Dash: Double tap forward or backward.

Push Block: Press two punch buttons while blocking a hit.

Recovery Roll: B, DB, D, and any button while falling.

Throw: While right next to your opponent, press forward or backward and a punch (Medium, Strong)
or kick (Medium, Strong) button.

Air Throw: While next to your opponent in midair, press forward or backward and a punch (Medium/
Strong) button.

Legend: (D = Down, DF = Down-forward, F = forward, B = back... you get the idea)

------------------------------------------------------------------

Captain Fire - D, DF, F, Punch (ground/air)

Cap fires a gout of flame from his gauntlet.

----------------------------

Captain Corridor - D, DB, B, Punch

Don't ask me why this is called a "Corridor". Cap slams the ground with his fist,
creating a gigantic geyser of energy. The strength of punch button determines how
far from Cap the explosion is created.

----------------------------

Captain Kick - D, DB, B, Kick

Cap flies forward with a flaming kick. Stronger kick buttons mean a higher arc of flight.

----------------------------

Commando Strike - D, DF, F, Kick

Cap calls in one of his teammates for an attack.

LK - Sho the Ninja drops from above Cap, striking with his sword.

MK - Jennety the Mummy flies across the top of the screen, spinning with his knives.

HK - Hoover lands behind Cap and launches a missile at his opponent.

---|>HYPER COMBOS<|----

aka Super Moves. Both require one level of energy.
--------------------------------------------------------

Captain Sword - D, DF, F, Punch

After summoning the Commando Squad for assistance, Cap and his three teammates create a
huge energy beam that slices downward like a knife.

-----------------------------------

Captain Storm - D, DF, F, Kick

Cap dashes at his opponent and attempts a flying uppercut. If it connects, the
opponent is hurled through the air, where he is attacked by Sho, Jennety, and Hoover
multiple times. Captain Commando finishes him off with a Captain Corridor as he falls
back to earth.

-> BB Hood, whose "Gethit sound" code I copied almost exactly.
   Also, the AI activation and AI guard modes are his as well. (http://a-and-f.mainpage.net)
-> M@ppy, for First Attack detection (slightly modified by me, but still).
-> Jared, for discovering that MvC could be renamed to run with the old SFMAME.

Thanks To:

-> Razoola and CPS2Shock (http://cps2shock.retrogames.com) for their tireless efforts
   that eventually led to the emulation of Capcom's CPS-2 arcade hardware.
-> The anonymous author of Kawaks. The tile viewing option in that emulator came in very
   handy for grabbing certain sprites
-> Barry Rodewald, author of Q-Player. An extremely helpful tool for sound ripping.
-> CrashTest and NeoGouki for SFMAME. I can't begin to think of how painful this character
   would have been to make without such a useful tool.
-> Ragnarok Nemo for the AWESOME all-in-one MUGEN character editor, MEE. It saved me a lot
   of time and trouble. And thanks for that AIR editor!
-> Capcom, for continuing to put out enjoyable 2D fighting games.
-> Elecbyte, for producing MUGEN - of course. Now how about that Win32 version? ;)
